We recently visited the Philippines, stopping in Manila, Cebu City, and Bohol. While the scenery and some beaches were beautiful, our experience was mixed. We ran into some scams targeting tourists, which made things challenging, and we ended up leaving before finishing our planned trip. Because of that, we lost money on other flights we had already booked.
On the bright side, we got to see family and met some genuinely nice people, which was meaningful. Still, overall, it wasn’t our favorite destination, and we found the experience a bit stressful.
The Philippines has incredible natural beauty, but travelers should be cautious and prepared when exploring as tourists.
