Kuala Lumpur was a vibrant stop on our travels, full of modern city energy, amazing food, and family-friendly experiences. While it was hot during our stay, the city has plenty of ways to stay cool and entertained.
Hyatt Centric Kuala Lumpur: Pools, Views, and Relaxation
We stayed at the Hyatt Centric Kuala Lumpur, and it was beautiful. The breakfast bar was incredible—plenty of options to fuel the whole family for a day of exploring. The rooftop pool was a favorite for the kids, giving them a place to cool down while enjoying stunning views of the famous Petronas Towers.
We spent most of our time at the hotel relaxing and enjoying the amenities, though we did take a tour of the Petronas Towers, which was impressive and well worth the visit. The city below was bustling, with lots of energy, but it was easy to retreat to the hotel when the heat became too much.
Exploring Kuala Lumpur
We explored some of the city’s massive shopping malls, which were both beautiful and air-conditioned—perfect for escaping the midday sun. Food was another highlight. We tried a Michelin-starred restaurant that served an incredible duck, along with other local delights. Kuala Lumpur is a city where modern skyscrapers and traditional flavors meet, and every meal felt like an adventure.
Hyatt Place Johor Bahru Paradigm: Convenient and Kid-Friendly
We also stayed at the Hyatt Place in Johor Bahru Paradigm, which is located inside a mall. It was a different experience, but we loved the convenience—everything we needed was right outside our door. The hotel had great kids’ attractions, including skating, bowling, climbing areas, and even a small movie theater. The kids had a blast and even saw a couple of movies while we were there, which kept them happily entertained.
