Germany Adventures: Berlin, Hamburg, and Walking Through History

Germany was a mix of vibrant city energy, historic landmarks, and beautiful architecture. From the bustling streets of Berlin to the charming corners of Hamburg, our trip was full of walking, sightseeing, and enjoying the local flavors—especially the beer.

Berlin: History, Landmarks, and Beer

We stayed in Berlin at an older hotel. The food was okay—not quite as flavorful as the Asian cuisine we’re used to—but the beer was delicious, which made up for it.

We did a lot of walking and explored some of Berlin’s most iconic landmarks. Seeing the Brandenburg Gate, the Berlin Wall, and other historic sites in person was incredible. The city has a unique energy, combining history, modern culture, and art at every turn.

Train to Hamburg: Scenic and Convenient

We took the train from Berlin to Hamburg, which was easy and comfortable. It gave us a chance to relax while enjoying some scenery along the way.

Hamburg: Quaint Streets and Iconic Architecture

Hamburg was chilly during our visit, but the city was beautiful. We did a ton of walking and explored the charming streets, canals, and historic architecture. One of the highlights was a tour of a famous building (the name escapes us), which offered amazing views and a peek into the city’s rich history.

Hamburg felt more quaint and approachable than Berlin, with a mix of historic charm and lively city life. We enjoyed wandering through the streets, taking in the sights, and soaking up the local atmosphere.
